Sarah Daw

Mask maker from Barnsley

I absolutely love sewing and it’s been a hobby of mine for quite a few years now. I recently moved house and I’m now lucky enough to have a whole room dedicated to my sewing so I spend as much time in there as I can get away with. I’m a busy mum and I also have a full time job but I manage to sew in the evenings and on my days off, or any chance I get!

I started out by making masks for my close friends and family at the beginning of lockdown. After donating around 80 masks, my sewing machine couldn’t keep up with the pace so I put her into retirement and I decided to upgrade.

By this point my fabric stash (hoard) was starting to look a bit bleak so I decided to start selling my masks to help recoup some of my costs and to allow me to buy many more amazing fabrics!

My masks were so popular that things gradually developed into my own little business making masks in my spare time. With the help of my super talented sister Cole, we designed a brand for my own website and my masks are now more popular than ever!
